PAINT FACTORY EXPLOSION

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 8. A paint factory which blew up at Slough, Buckinghamshire, today damaged surrounding factories and caused widespread blast damage. The explosion, one of the biggest in Britain since the enemy attacks in World War *i, woke the sleeping town, shattered hundreds of windows, cracked walls, and blew doors off their hinges, but only three people, one of them a fireman, were injured. The damage is estimated at £50,000. Investigators ruled ou‘ any suggestion of arson or sabotage.
