Holders of Licences previously issued by the Malvern County Council may renew same by post, provided the current Licence is enclosed, together with prescribed fee, and stamped, addressed envelope. Pursuant to the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1920, the “Rating Act, 1925,” and Amendments thereto, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Halswell County Council, at a meeting to be held on THURSDAY, the 30th day of JUNE, 1955, proposes to make and levy the following rates:— 1. A GENERAL RATE of One Penny Farthing (IJd) in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property within the County of Halswell. 2. A SEPARATE RATE of Three Farthings in the Pound in Class A, Five-eighths of a Penny in the Pound In Class B, and One Half Penny in the Pound in Class C on rateable value of all rateable property in the Halswell Drainage Area. Such rates to be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1955, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1956, and shall be due and payable in one sum on the 22nd day of August, 1955, at the office of the Halswell County Council, 3 Annex road, Christchurch, where the Valuation Rolls of the County are open for inspection.
