Australian Nurses For Malaya
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) CANBERRA, June 7. Twenty Australian nursing sisters will leave Sydney on June 15 |o form the nucleus of the staff of the new Lady Tempter tuberculosis hospital at Kuala Lumpur, Mr R. G. Casey, the Minister of External Affairs, announced today. Mr Crsey said Australia was pleased to be able to render Ahis service to Malaya under the Colombo Plan. The nurses, who would remain in j Malaya for three years, would passj on their knowledge and skill toi the Malayans, the Minister said. |
