RADIO EQUIPMENT DEMONSTRATED
Members of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters were given a demonstration of the technique of transmitting and receiving pictures by radio yesterday morning. Mr Dennis Shipley, who gave the demonstrations, also gave an outline of some of the earlier techniques and described the various uses to which the equipment can be put. He said that as well as photographs, weather maps and finger prints were also frequently transmitted by radio.
Members also saw a film showing the manufacture of a new insulating material and a demonstration of radio control of model aircraft.
