TAXATION ON LIVESTOCK

BRITISH EXPERT MEETS MINISTERS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 2. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) and five other members of the Cabinet this afternoon met Mr W. F. Grants a British taxation expert brought to New Zealand by Federated Farmers. After the meeting, Mr Holland said the discussion had concerned mainly livestock taxation, and particularly on the capital stock method of assessing this taxation. Mr Grant described how this taxation was applied in Britain. The other Ministers present were the Minister of Agriculture (Mr K. J. Holyoake), the Minister of Fihance (Mr J. T. Watts), the Minister of Lands (Mr E. B. Corbett), the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr S. W. Smith), and the Minister of Justice (Mr J. R Marshall).
