WAITAKI HIGH SCHOOL

OLD BOYS HOLD ANNUAL BALL

About 300 members of the Christchurch branch of the Waitaki High School Old Boys’ Association and their friends from many parts of Canterbury attended the seventeenth annual ball of the association in the Winter Garden last evening.

The president (Mr G. W. Hill) and Mrs Hill received the official guests, who included representatives of the following kindred associations:— Christ’s College, St. Andrew’s College, St. Kevin’s College, Nelson College, Timaru Boys’ High School, and Waitaki Girls’ High School. Mrs Hill wore an attractive frock of bronze shot silk spotted with black velvet. The members of the committee which arranged the ball were Messrs Hill (president), W. F. Warner (vicepresident), M. K. Whale (secretary), D. W. Holland (treasurer), W. J. Baxter, B. P. Hill, F. H. G. Johnstone, L. A. Scaile. J. Whitcombe, R. A. Sea if e and A. A. Smith.
