MISSING FISHERMAN
NO TRACE FOUND IN AIR SEARCH (New Zealand Press Association) TAURANGA, May 26. No trace has been found of Mr Walter Whitaker, aged 38, of Mount Maunganui, who did not return after going fishing in a dinghy on Tuesday. An a'erial search of the sea and coast was made yesterday. Mr Whitaker, who is married and has one child, is an employee of a hotel in Tauranga. At noon he hired the dinghy for the afternoon. He had left a note at home for his son saying that he would meet the boy at the Pilot Bay jetty after school.
