STUDY OF FARMING DEVELOPMENTS
MR P. W. SMALLFIELD TO VISIT BRITAIN (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 26. Mr P. W. Smallfield, director of the extension division of the Department of Agriculture, will visit England and North America to study the latest developments in this field. He will attend the Commonwealth Agricultural Bureau’s conference in London between June 8 and July 7 as a member of the New Zealand delegation, led by Dr. W. M. Hamilton, of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, and afterwards will study the organisation and work of the National Agricultural Advisory Service in England and of the Department of Agriculture, Scotland. Seed production and certification will be studied, with special reference to pasture seeds.
