SAFE FORCED OPEN AND MONEY STOLEN
Two business premises in Christchurch were broken into during the week-end. In one case valuable tools were stolen and in the other a sum of money was stolen. Reamers, taps, dies, drills and other precision tools, worth more than £4O, were taken by thieves who broke into the premises of Peco, Limited, engineers, at 85 St Asaph street. About £lO in cash in the office was untouched. A safe in the office of Robert Johnstone, Limited, coal merchants, at 235 Waltham road, was forced open and £3O in money was stolen.
