SELECTION OF TEAMS TO MEET SPRINGBOKS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 23. The first of the two meetings between the convener of the New Zealand Rugby selection committee (Mr T. C. Morrison) and the provincial selectors as part of the preparations for the visit next year by the South African team, was held yesterday at Palmerston North. The second will be held at Timaru on Sunday. The meeting yesterday was attended by selectors from all North Island unions except Auckland and Bay of Plenty, both of which sent apologies for inability to attend.
