U.S. Lines May Build Atomic Liner
(Rec. 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 22 Mr G. Joseph Minetti, a member of the Federal Maritime Board, said today that the United States Lines was considering a new atom-powered luxury liner to replace the liner America, built in 1941.
The United States Lines said on Friday that it was considering atomic propulsion, possibly within the next six years, to keep its passenger service up to date. The liner America carries 980 passengers.
