RECORD STAND IN TEST FIGURES SET AT BASIN RESERVE BEATEN The stand of 352 for the seventh wicket by D. Atkinson (who has been appointed captain for the tour of New Zealand) and G. Depeiza lndies) against Australia, beat the previous world test record for that wicket of 246 by D. J. McGlew (255) and A. R. A. Murray (109 for South Africa against New Zealand at Wellington two years ago. It was also six runs above the sixth wicket record set by J. H. Fingleton (136) and D. G.
