BREWERIES HOLD THEIR GROUND Main features of yesterday’s trading on the Christchurch Stock Exchange were the relatively heavy trading in New Zealand Breweries at the firm rate of 50s, and the hardening of New Zealand Refrigerating Company’s shares, the paids improving to business at 48s 6d, and the contributings to a sale at 23s 9d. _ Booth, Macdonalds weakened further to business at ss, with more on offer at the same price, but further buyers limited their offers to 4s -fld.
