BADMINTON
N.Z. TEAM TO PLAY AUSTRALIA
WELLINGTON, April 26. A New Zealand representative badminton team will leave on Thursday to compete against Australia for the Thomas Cup, at Melbourne, on May 4 and 5. If the team is successful there, it will go to Singapore to meet the successful team from Europe on May 27 and 28. The team is: J. E. Robsdn (Auckland), F. D. and A. T. Skelt (Southland). S. L. Shand (Wellington), C. L. Sheerin (Manawatu), and W. R. Russell (Waikato, manRobson is the best-known player. He has held both the New Zealand and Australian titles, and was last year's champion of Ireland and Scotland.
