OFFICES ENTERED AT WAIMATE
The Waimate Municipal Chambers were broken, into some time between 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday and the offices were ransacked. The thieves apparently were in search of money. Nothing has apparently been stolen, though this cannot be verified until the staff returns this morning. Entry to the building was made by forcing a rear door.
