INDUSTRIES FAIR
DISPLAY BY CITY COUNCIL
Plans for the City Council’s display at the New Zealand Industries Fair were explained to the council last evening by the public relations officer (Mr M. B. Hayes). Every effort was being made to portray the extent of the council’s work, he said. The way in which £1 of revenue was spent would be shown in caricature form. A large map would show the growth of the city fend the siting of works depots, parks, and reserves, libraries and other municipal buildings. A large aerial view of Christchurch airport would be featured, and a series of enlarged photographs would show some of the major works and undertakings. There would be a few models, and one of the parking meters which would soon be prominent in the city would be available for inspection.
