N.Z. OLYMPIC TEAM
COST PUT AT £240 FOR EACH MEMBER (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 19. The cost of sending the New Zealand team to the Melbourne Olympic Games will be £240 a head for about three weeks in Melbourne. The New Zealand Olympic and Empire Games Association was informed of this tonight. t The association has tentatively booked 80 air passages to Melbourne. The New Zealand team will be selected on September 25, 1956. The selection committee will meet on September 21 and 22, 1956, to consider nominations, which will close on September 11.
The team’s manager and chaperon will be chosen at the April meeting of the association’s executive. The New Zealand team will leave for Melbourne on November 20, 1956.
