NEW TURF-DRYING MACHINE.—A machine which, it is claimed, can pick up 10 gallons of water in four minutes, was exhibited at Lancaster Park yesterday before members of sports organisations and others. It is the first machine of its kind in New Zealand, but it is used extensively in Britain. A representative of the firm, which imported the turf-drying machine, is shown giving a demonstration over a specially watered area.
