49 Terrorists Killed Last Month (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7 p.m.) KUALA LUMPUR, April 19. Malaya’s security forces killed 49 Communist terrorists in March—the highest figure since August last year, an official communique announced today. Nine were captured alive and 20 surrendered. The security forces lost 10 men killed and nine were wounded. Nine civilians were killed and four wounded. 50 far this month, 19 terrorists have been killed, two captured, and 13 surrendered. Four security force members and three civilians have been killed. The army’s liaison officer with the police, Captain M. A. Howard, said today the anti-terrorist war in Malaya might continue indefinitely.
