FIRE IN RAILWAY WORKSHOPS
A fire in a paint shop at the Addington Railway Workshops was put out by units from the central and St. Albans stations of the Christchurch
Fire Brigade yesterday. Workshop firefighters also worked on the fire which damaged the roof of the building and contents. The call was received at 4.16 p.m. An oven fire at 133 A Deans avenue, in a dwelling occupied by Mr G. M. P. Harkness was put out by a unit from the St Albans Station at 3.47 p.m.
