CHILD DROWNED IN RIVER
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 20. Kevin John Gilmour, aged two and a half years, the third son of Mr and Mrs S. N. Gilmour, of Whangamomona, was drowned in the Whangamomona river today. The child, together with . his two older brothers, both of whom are under school age, was playing on the bank of the river, which is near his parents’ home, and fell in.
The two brothers ran back to the house, and Mrs Gilmour rushed to the river. She found the boy floating in the water.
