MOUNT PLEASANT WINTER CLUB
Members of the Mount Pleasant Winter Bowling Club decided at their first annual meeting recently to hold the opening of their new granulated rubber green on April 23. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr C. Hunow; vice-president, Mr F. Tomlinson; honorary secretary, Mr L. Craighead; treasurer, Mr I. Sladen; committee, Messrs W. Salt, J. Mortlock, J. Green, G. Papps, and J. A. Sladen; match committee, Messrs J. Mander, T. Chambers, and G. Papps.
RICCARTON RACECOURSE CLUB Winners of competitions held during the season by the Riccarton Racecourse Bowl ing Club were:—Champion singles, W. H. Davis; champion pairs, N. Blakeway and J. G. Crawford; champion rinks, G. A. Cooper, C. J Butler, E. Seaward and Y. Round (s.); champion colt, G. Carpenter; Best cup, C. Townsend; Clifford button, J. Moore and J. Telfer (s.); presidents rink, J. Crammond, N. S. spiers, H. Jones and A Blakemore (s.).
