CAMBRIAN SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Cambrian Society was held on Saturday evening. The president (Mr J. G. Parry) presided over a good attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet showed another successful year. In recognition of her many years of loyal service to the society, Mirs Bayliss was elected a life member. Officers were elected as follows: president, Mr Parry; vice-presidents, Mesdames Parry, R. H. Williams, Herriott, and Thomson, and Messrs J. E. Jones and E. Rogers: secretary, Mr C. S. Williams; treasurer, Mr E. R. Cavgill; committee, Mesdames Wilkin Wood, E. Rogers, Chapman, and T Williams. Miss M. Jones, and Messrs O. Wynn Evant, M. L. Roberts, and E. Hughes. A tribute was paid to Mrs Parry for her unfailing efforts in furthering the interests of the society.
Earlier in the week members met to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs Ernesl Rogers and Miss Gwyneth Rogers before their departure on a visit to the United Kingdom. Another guest of honour was Miss Phillips, of Montgomeryshire. who is visiting her sister. Mrs Griffiths. Papanui, and will soon return to Wales.
