RIFLE SHOOTING
INTER-CLUB MATCH WON BY ASHBURTON
A rifle match was fired among the Malvern, Ashburton, and Christchurch Rifle Clubs on the Malvern club’s range during the week-end. Conditions were seven shots and two optional sighters at 300 yards, and 10 shots and two optional sigbters at 500 yards. Ashburton won by three points from Christchurch. L. Smith, of the Malvern club, scored the only possible with 35 at 300 yards. Top score at 500 yards was 49 out of 50. put on by D. McKenzie, of Christchurch. Results were:— Ashburton
