PIONEER CLUB HOLDS SCRAMBLE

A motor-cycle scramble was held on Mr Hunts property at Harewood by the Pioneer Motor Club. The course was just over three-quarters of a mile to the circuit, and included bumps, dog-leg comers, and tncky S-bends. The riding was of a very high standard, all riders showing exceptional machine control. Miss Shirley Robinson, the leading Canterbury woman rider, rode a 197 c.c.. Cotswold James scramble machine and gave an outstanding performancet It was almost impossible to handicap her out of a Piace and repeatedly she won from 200 to 300 yards behind similarly mounted men riders. Results were:—
