Wool Values In Australia
(Rec. 11 p.m.) MELBOURNE. April 18. Competition was widespread and values unchanged at the Melbourne wool sale today compared with prerecess closing prices at other centres. Comebacks and crossbreds were particularly in demand. There was a total clearance of the 11,800 bales offered.
Continental and Japanese interests were prominent in the bidding with support from Britain and local mills. Crossbred prices included: good to super crossbred combing fleece 58 s 88d; good to super crossbred combing fleece 56’s 84 jd; good to super c bred combing fleece, 50’s 77d, ”
