FOOTBALLER DIES ON FIELD
(New Zealand Press Association) * AUCKLAND, April 17. A Rugby footballer collapsed and died soon after taking the field for the Parnell Senior B team at the Auckland Domain on Saturday aftemon. He was Opura Samuel, aged 26, a married man with one child, of Parnell. He was playing as a forward in a game against Air Force. About seven minutes after the start, he staggered out of a scrum and fell. He was dead when the ambulance arrived. The match was cancelled.
