LAND VALUATION COURT
APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 11. The Minister of Justice (Mr J. R. Marshall) has announced that Mr A. A. McLauchlan, a retired farmer, of Levin, has been reappointed as a member of the Land Valuation Court. A further vacancy created by the retirement of Mr William Stewart has been filled by the appointment of Mr W. G. McClintock. The Court is presided over by Judge Archer.
Mr McLauchlan is well known in farming circles and has had wide farming experience. Mr McClintock was a deputy member of the Court. during the absence of Mr Stewart. He was Acting Valuer-General during the last year of his service as a public servant. Mr Marshall said the appointments made would provide a blend of urban and rural experience. He expressed his appreciation of the services rendered by Mr Stewart, who was first appointed in 1943 to the Land Sales Court, which later became the Land Valuation Court.
