CRASHED DEVON AIRCRAFT
BODIES OF CREW BURIED IN TARARUAS (New Zealand Press Association) MASTERTON, February 22. The two airmen whose bodies were found yesterday in the Royal New Zealand Air Force de Havilland Devon aircraft that crashed on a high peak in the Tararua Ranges on Thursday in the Tararua Ranges n Thursday will be buried tomorrow in the mountainous terrain which made the bringing out of their bodies tob dangerous. They were Flight Lieutenant Edward Casey, of Christchurch, and Flight Lieutenant William Trott, of Auckland. The men will be buried at the scene of the crash, below the summit of Shingle Slip Knob, a peak 4000 ft high between Mount Holdsworth and Mitre Peak. When Wing Commander R. M. McKay, A.F.C., who is conducting the Court of Inquiry, and his party come out of the Tararuas some time tonight, an inquest will be opened before the district Coroner (Mr R. A. C. Selby). Evidence of identification probably will be given by Wing Commander McKay and- the inquest will be adjourned.
