ALLEGED FAILURE TO ACCOUNT
TRIAL EXPECTED TO END TODAY (New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, February 16. The evidence for the Crown was completed today in the Supreme Court hearing of 13 charges against Roland Courtenay Cooney, aged 29, a former Government tourist agent at New Plymouth, of failing to account for £1877 8s 6d. It is alleged that Cooney fraudulently failed to account for the money between April 1, 1953, and November 2, 1954. Mr Justice North is on the Bench. It is expected that the case will be concluded tomorrow.
