WAR RISK RATE INCREASED
(Rec. 11 p.m.) HONG KONG, Jan. 20. Shipping sources said that insurance agents notified them yesterday that the war rate for cargoes to Swatow and Amoy, the South China ports, had been increased from 1 to 5 per cent.—the day the Edendale was sunk. They expected the rate would jump again immediately.
