CHARTERED PLANE FOR LUGGAGE
FAMILY OF FIVE FLIES TO CHRISTCHURCH
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 2. The National Airways Con>oration used one of its freighters on Saturday to carry a family and their baggage to Chnfetchurch.
Mr L. B. Black, his wife, who is a daughter of Sir Arthur Sims, and their three children arrived in Auckland on Saturday in the Rangitiki for a short visit to New Zealand. Their luggage, 33 pieces weighing nearly two tons, was taken to Whenuapai a J?° placed jn a Dakota chartered by Mr Black. In the afternoon, al] left for Christchurch. - , At the known N.A.C. charter rates the trip cost Mr Black somewhere between £2OO and £250. Mr Black runs forestry estates in Rhodesia. There will be a family reunion in Christchurch »with Sir Arthur Sims, who is returning from abroad in the Dominion Monarch on January 14.
