CHARGES OF THEFT OF £1877
LOWER COURT HEARING AT NEW PLYMOUTH
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. December 14. The hearing in the Magistrate'* Court of 13 charges of theft of £1877 8s 6d from the Government Tourist Department against Roland Courtenay Cooney, aged 29, former agent for the department at New Plymouth, was continued today. There are 12 of 34 witnesses for the police still to be heard. The hearing was adjourned by Mr W. C. Harley, S.M., this afternoon till Friday. Cooney was again released on bail.
