Big Loan To Copper Mining Firm (Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Nov. 6. The United States Export-Import Bank yesterday announced its conditional decision to lend an American firm up to 100,000,000 dollars to "help develop the Toquepala copper mine in Peru, one of the 10 largest copper mines in the world. The bank, a United States Government botty that lends money for development of projects in countries overseas, said the loan was conditioned on working out certain arrangements “to the satisfaction of the bank and the borrower.” These included provision for the remaining 205,000.000 dollars needed to finance the project.
