GERMANY
. Sir,—Many people must be observing, with apprehension, the resurgence to power of Germany, a nation which, in two world wars; brought widespread misery and distress to millions. The question must arise in the minds of those who may be out of work through international trade competition with that country, told in the minds of those who may have to fight in a not improbable third world war against that country. Why, after having been conquered twice, she has not been held in humane subjection. To - this, of course, it is only necessary to take control of the monetary system of the country, and, to feed finance to the industries and movements leading to the betterment of Germany, ana, to withhold finance from industries and movements tending to war and undesirable trade. Leaders who fail to see the necessity for such policing place themselves in difficult positions.—Yours, etc., REALIST. Ashburton, November 4, 1954.
