CONFERENCE IN LONDON

Empire Premiers To Meet (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, November 3. Sir Winston Churchill will tomorrow announce a Commonwealth Prime Ministers’ conference to be held in London early in 1955, it is authoritatively learned tonight. The exact dates of the conference are so far undisclosed, but consultations among the various Commonwealth governments are understood to have been almost completed. The last. Commonwealth Prime Ministers’ conference was held in London immediately after Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation in June last year. The countries representad included Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. South Africa, India, Pakistan, and Ceylon. -‘The Times” says that in any general exchange of views, it may be assumed that relations with China will play a prominent part. There was no doubt also that the possibility of a further conference on Korea would be discussed. The somewhat thorny problem of the South-east Asia Pact would also certainly be discussed. Sir Winston Churchill will discuss latest developments in the international situation and Sir Anthony Eden is expected to report, in particular, on the agreement for rearming Germany.
