SENIOR ARMY CHANGES
SEVEN APPOINTMENTS ANNOUNCED
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 2. The appointment of new directors of artillery, infantry, and training at Army Headquarters are among senior Army changes announced at Wellington today.. Army Headquarters announced that the present Director of Artillery and Commander of the Royal Artillery in the New Zealand Division (Colonel G. P. Cade) would shortly become senior officer of the regular cadre and G.S.O.l.—principal staff officer —on the headquarters of the New Zealand Division at Linton Camp. Major J. Burns will replace him and will be promoted to lieutenant-colonel.
The Director of infantry and Training at Army Headquarters (Lieuten-ant-Colonel J. A. Worsnop) is to be Commander of Area 10 (Christchurch). He will be succeeded by the Commandant of the Army Schools at Waiouru (Lieutenant-Colonel W. R. K. Morrison). The present senior officer of the regular cadre and G. 5.0.1., New Zealand Divisional Headquarters (Lieu-tenant-Colonel G. P. Sanders) will take over command of Waiouru Camp early next year. The new Commandant of the Army Schools will be Lieutenant-Colonel D. A. Caughley. He now commands the Central Military District training depot. Major G. T. Haines will replace him, with the rank of lieutenantcolonel. Other senior Army changes are pending.
