ENGAGEMENT
(Engagements Notices must be signed by both parties.) Mr and Mrs J. Cantwell, Hastings, have much pleasure in announcing the engagement of their elder daughter, Norma Alice, to Patrick Anthony, youngest son of Mr and Mrs J. Lovett, Kaikoura.
Mrs Moore spoke on living conditions in Czechoslovakia 'at the recent meeting of the West of England Women’s Association. Mrs J. Widgery presided. An interesting talk on her recent visit to Britain and Spain was given by Mrs Staples at the monthly meeting of the St. Martins Townswomen’s Guild. Leaders of circles presented their reports. It was announced that members were making comforts for aged women who are to be admitted to Langford House soon. Several new members were welcomed by Mrs Le Warne, who presided.
