RIFLE SHOOTING
EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB
The East Christchurch Rifle Club held a two-range shoot at Rangiora. Thirty members attended. The hotty button for the highest score off the rifle was won by S. Reid, 88. The highest scores, with handicaps added, were:— R. Fineran, 92; S. Reid, G. Lukey, B. Reverley, 88; E. Judson, P. Farmer, 87; W. Wallace, 85; K. Harrison, 34; I. Lambie,. 82; J. Lockie. 79; G. Reverley, 78; S. Wilson, 77; W. Forster, 76; H. Lunn, P. McNamara, 75; J. Cummings, E. Grafton, 74.
Waiau Defence Club A shoot at 200 and 300 yards held recently by the Waiau Defence Rifle Club resulted as follows: A. Barclay, 42 ( 200 yards), 44 (300 yards), 15 (handicap), 101 (total); T. Northcote, 46, 43, 9—98; J. Frobisher, 44, 37, 15—96; S. Pettigrew, 45, 45, 5—95; G. .Bland, sen., 45, 37, 13—93: K. Foster, 48, 41, 3—92; K. Dunbar, 49, 40, 3—92; G. Bland, jun., 44, 41, 4—89; A. Primrose, 33, 34, 15—82; R. Thomas, 36, 27, 15—78.
