Minor Fires.— The Christchurch Fire Brigade was called at 2 p.m. on Saturday to a small grass fire on a vacant section in Mavins’ road, Cashmere. A chimney fire at 31 Watts road. Sockburn, to which the brigade was called at 8.38 a.m. yesterday, was extinguished without difficulty.
