16 M.P.’s On Visit To Moscow
MOSCOW, September 30. A delegation of 16 British Members ©i Parliament arrived in Moscow today for a 16-day tour of the Soviet Union. The party flew in through driving •quails and teeming rain. The airport building at Moscow’s airport was decorated with Union Jacks and red flags, is believed to be the first time the British flag has flown at the airport since Sir Winston Churchill visited Moscow during the war. The special silver and green Soviet aeroplane which brought the party to Russia from Helsinki ’threw up clouds o' spray when it touched down on the tarmac.
