Playwrights’ Competition.—The Playwrights’ Advisory Board, of Sydney, has announced its fourth stage play competition, open to residents of Australia and New Zealand. The prize money of £2OO has been given by Sir Edward Hallstrom, an Australian businessman. The last competition held by the board, in 1947, was won by Dorothy Blewett with “The First Joanna.” Other winners have been Catherine Duncan, and Lynn Foster and Landen Dann who were equal first in 1946.
