14 CHILDREN CHARGED AT AUCKLAND
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 23. The mothers of a number of boys and girls charged in the Auckland Children’s Court today with delinquency were at work at the time the offences were committed. Nine boys and five girls were dealt with for immorality. -Four of the boys faced charges of unlawful carnal knowledge and one of indecent assault. In addition boys were involved in the theft an d receiving of stolen money. Thirteen of the children were Placed under the supervision of the Child Welfare Division for varying periods by Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M., and the remaining case was adjourned for six months.
Next Thursday more immorality charges are to be brought against children by the Auckland police.
