TOURNAMENT FOR SCHOOLBOYS
The games in the elimination tournament being held at Christchurch West High School to select two schoolboy players for the Dominion championship were almost completed yesterday. In the scores below the number of games to be played are shown in parenthesis: D. Lorking. 8 (1); J. Fielding, 8 (0); N. Moore, 6 (0); T t L. Dobbinson, 3J (3); R- Stewart, 4 (1); R. Moore, 31 (0); S. Haigh, 3 (1); D. Forbes, 2j (1); N. Richards, 11 (1); J. Dunn, 1 (0). As Fielding is unable to make the trip north, the selection of the second representative is still in doubt. The tournament is expected to finish at midday today.
