CHRISTCHURCH GRADUATE GIVEN BURSARY Zealanq Press Association) August 28. j T"?, 311 Legation announced today that Miss Gillian Quentin-Baxter, -of-Christchurch, had been awarded the first post-war bursary for a New Zealander to study in Germany. The grant of the bursary was arranged by the Student Exchange Service m Bonn, Western Germany. Miss Quentin-Baxter, who recently g-aduated from Canterbury University College, will study philosophy at the University of Bonn from November, 1954. to October, 1955. Miss Quentin-Baxter gained a B.A degree at Canterbury University College, and completed some post-gradu-ate work there. She left Wellington in the Ruahine last Tuesday on her way to Britain.
