CANTERBURY BEATS BULLER-WESTLAND
11-GAMES MARGIN IN TEMPLETON MATCH Canterbury beat Buller-Westland by 14j games to 3j in the annual golf tournament, played at Templeton yesterday. The greens were fast, and on these the West Coast players, more accustomed to heavy ground, had difficulty. But by any standard the course was in very good order, and the standard of play from everyone was high. One of the highlights of the match was the performance of D. M. Robertson, of Timaru, who scored six birdies in his game against L. Domigan and beat nim, 4 and 3. A welcome to the Buller-Westland team was given by Mr H. Langford, on behalf of the Canterbury Provincial Golf Association. B. Caulton, captain of the West Coast team, replied. Results (Canterbury names first):— Foursomes.—J. R. Davis and D. M.
