NEW TOC If CLUB FIRST ANNUAL MEETING 9 HELD The first annual general meeting of the newly-formed Toe H Amateur Athletic Club was held recently, and was well attended. The club will enter competition in October. Methods of improving the standard of athletics and of creating public interest were discussed, and it was suggested that regular evening athletic meetings should be held. Members supported the organisation of working bees to provide better facilities for athletics at Rugby Park. The club is planning a coaching school at Labour Day week-end for athletes from all over the South Island. Officers were elected as follows: President, Mr K. S. Jameson; vicepresidents, Messrs A. Geddes. Chadderton, and J. Clarke, Colonel Erridge, and Mrs D. Jameson: secretary, Mr O. Rosenatu treasurer. Mr Clarke; club captain, Mr A. Mahon; vice-captain, Miss M. Bayne: committee, Messrs R. Moore and B. Curie, Mesdames Mooney and Jameson, and Misses J. Blackburn and M. Hem; liaison officer with Toe H, Mr N. Dobbs; club coach, Mrs Jameson: delegates to Canterbury centre, Messrs O. Rosenau and R. Moore, and Mrs. Jameson.
