Fire Fighting In Paparua.— The Paparua County Council has prepared a circular to. ensure that ratepayers of Upper Riccarton, Sockburn, Hornby and Islington are aware of the arrangements by which the Christchurch Fire Brigade accepts responsibility for the suppression of property fires in urban districts of the county. Residents will be advised that in the event of fire they should call the city brigade and also the council’s brigade which was always available to attend fires and supplement water supplies.
