GREYMOUTH BATHS NOT READY (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, July 20. The Greymouth Municipal Swimming Baths cannot possibly be converted to a tepid pool, with new accommodation, in time for the national swimming championships, scheduled to be held at Greymouth early next year. This was announced at the monthly meeting ot the Greymouth Borough Council.
The championships were allotted to Greymouth, on the assurance that the pool would be made tepid by Februarynext. It is now likely that the championships will be allocated to
another centre and Greymouth lose its opportunity of staging tM championships for the first time since 1929 when the baths were first opeceo-
