“MISS UNIVERSE” CONTEST
Admission To U.S. For Greek Entrant WASHINGTON, July 16. The United States Attorney-General (Mr Herbert Brownell) today authorised “Miss Greece” to enter the United States to take part in the “Miss Universe” beauty contest at Long Beach, California. United States officials in Athens and Greece, had held up a visa for the girl, Miss Rika Dialina, aged 22, because she once illustrated a book by a Communist. Mr Brownell used his special powers today to let Miss Dialina enter the country for two months.
